Construction and operation of a 267-room 5-star hotel in Accra. The hotel will use 8.5 acres of prime land located at the heart of the city, adjacent to the Accra International Conference Center (AICC). The sponsors have secured a 15-year Management Agreement with Kempinski to operate the hotel. The hotel is currently under construction, completion being expected in December 2011. Refurbishment, extension and operation of Hotel Crna Gora, an existing hotel of 150 rooms located in a prime central location of Podgorica, Montenegro. After refurbishment, the Project will comprise the Hotel, with approximately 200 rooms, which will be operated at international hospitality standards under the Hilton brand, a spa centre, congress centre, underground garage and a retail gallery of 5,500 m2 Gross Leasable Area within the Hotel complex. 

Hilton Podgorica

Provision of up to USD 12 million senior secured loan to Al Dau al Haram for Hotels Operations, to finance the development and operation of a new hotel under the Hyatt Regency brand in West Cairo, Egypt. Supporting sustainable developments in the tourism sector in Egypt, which has been particularly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. The Loan will be used to finance the construction, equipment and operation of a new 249-room hotel to be operated under the Hyatt Regency brand.

DFF - Hyatt Regency West Cairo

The EBRD is considering financing the reconstruction and operation of Hotel Leipzig located in the center of Kyiv, Ukraine. After reconstruction, the Project will consist of a 180-room 4-star hotel. The Client is Grand Plaza, a special purpose company incorporated in Ukraine, part of Istil Group. The financing would be a Senior Loan of USD 30 million to the Borrower out of a total project cost of USD 79.8 million

Hotel Leipzig

To provide a €37 million long term debt facility to Adriatic Properties D.O.O, to finance the re-development of a landmark tourist site on the Montenegro’s coast into a prime resort which will set a benchmark for low-density, sustainable tourism. The project is located on a land plot of 68,000 m2 along the Montenegrin Adriatic sea coast. Phase 1 will include the refurbishment of Milocer hotel (8 rooms and suites) and Sveti Stefan Island hotel (50 rooms and suites), as well as some infrastructure works, an administrative building and part of leisure facilities (restaurants, tennis courts and cafes), to create a new resort to be operated under the brand "Aman Resorts". Phase 2 will consist of the demolition of the existing Queens Beach hotel and subsequent redevelopment of a new Queen’s Beach hotel with up to 60 hotel rooms, as well as 60 villa apartments and Queens Beach spa to be operated under the brand “Chedi”.

Sveti Stefan Hotel Complex PPP

Provision of a senior loan up to EUR 25 million in favour of Bartu Turizm Yatirimlari A.S. to refinance its outstanding short-term loans. Bartu Turzim Yatirimlari A.S., established in 2011, is a joint stock company incorporated in Turkey. The Company owns and operates four coastal hotels with total capacity of 1,246 rooms. Bartu Turizm is the only joint venture between TUI AG, a German travel and tourism company and a local owner (the Barut Family) in Turkey.

Barut Hotel

The proposed project is a financial package consisting of equity investment and senior debt to be provided to GS Hotels and Resorts, a leading Croatian hospitality group known also as Adriatic Luxury Hotels.The proceeds of EBRD financing aim to help develop: high quality, environment-friendly tourism facilities in Croatia, by assisting the restructuring and development of GS Hotels and Resorts; and similar tourism facilities in neighbouring countries by providing GS Hotels and Resorts with sufficient financial depth to export its experience. GS Hotels and Resorts Ltd., a limited liability company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, to be restructured to consolidate control over property and management interests in 5 hotels located in Croatia. EBRD will invest EUR 25.1 million equity investment into GS Hotels and Resorts and EUR 27.5 million senior loan to property subsidiaries. Hotel location(s) not provided.

GS Hotels and Resort - Debt

The proposed project involves expansion of Raduga tourist resort owned by Invest-Raduga Ltd. and located at Issyk-Kul Lake, Kyrgyz Republic. The project builds on successful construction and operation of Raduga resort, implemented by Invest-Raduga company in 2004. The investment will be directed for financing construction of 98 new cottages, reconstruction of 36 apartments for sale, and reconstruction of two buildings as a 44-room hotel. The project is co-financed by Kazakh Temirbank.

Raduga-II

Provision of a senior secured long-term loan of up to €300 thousand to Khiva Malikasi LLC, a local hotel operator in Khiva, Uzbekistan. The EBRD funding will support the renovation of three hotels and surrounding infrastructure operated by the Company in the Khiva.

Khiva Malika Hotel

Provision of a syndicated senior loan of up to EUR 39.35 million to Sunce Koncern d.d., a hospitality corporation established in Croatia, and its key subsidiaries (Hoteli Zlatni Rat d.d., Hoteli Brela d.d., Hoteli Tucepi d.d. and Hotel Alan d.d.). The EBRD's loan will be a part of a syndicated loan structure of up to EUR 93 million to be provided by the EBRD and commercial co-lenders for refinancing, permanent working capital and selected capital expenditures on the Company's hotels. The EBRD's investment will be part of a comprehensive refinancing of the Company's short and long term debt, comprising more than 20 loan facilities provided to the Company by more than 10 local commercial banks and representing adequate long term funding for further capital investments. Sunce Koncern d.d. is a public limited company incorporated in Croatia and listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. Sunce Koncern owns and operates 11 beachfront hotels on the Croatian Adriatic coast with more than 2,450 rooms, one camping ground and other tourism related properties located in 4 popular touristic locations in Croatia. It has been operating in its current form since 2005 and all properties are mostly managed and operated in-house, under the brand "BlueSun Hotels and Resorts." Hotel location(s) not provided.

Sunce Koncern d.d.

The proposed project involves financing of the completion of Hermitage Grand Hotel (the Project), a five-star development in Golden Sands on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, fully owned by Sigma Capital Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism Holding Company S.A (“the Sponsor”). The aim is to support the Sponsor achieve its goal of becoming the largest player in the hotels/hospitality market on the Bulgarian Black See coast.

Sunny Travel EOOD

The EBRD intends to provide a convertible debt facility to finance the design, construction and operation of an international standard 4-star hotel in the centre of Warsaw, Poland. The project aims to continue the development of the Atrium programme, one of the largest real estate projects in the region.
